Story Time

Hello friends and story lovers.

At first let me thank you for taking your time to visit this page. I am a lover of listening and a fan of great leaders, who were basically a good public speakers, who dedicated their life for the betterment of human life, some of the best speeches I like are from Martin Luther King, Malcolm, Mahatma Gandhi, Winston Churchill, Roosevelt, Stalin, M.G.R, Vajpayee, K.Karunanithi, Brain Tracy, wayne Dyer, Suki Sivam, Thenkachi Ko Swaminathan, Kirubanantha variyar, Osho talks etc.

For years, I have been visiting libraries and listening to such speeches also read many books to improve the same set of skill on my public speech. But the fact... I felt that by nature I am not fit for such proven public speaking skill as initiating a public speech is a frustrating thing to begin with. On this journey, I have recently met Dr.Eric Miller of World Story Telling Institute, Chennai and got a learning opportunity to work on the public speech, especially to start with story telling skill to target the kids and Youth of the present generation, who badly needs a fairy and moral tales to take on the cultural and traditional values to the next generation. After learning few start up techniques from World Story Telling Institute. I had an opportunity to interact with few elementary level schools for children below 10 Years old. I had story telling sessions with two way communication & asking students to come up stage for story telling experiences. It was a fantastic and proving sessions specially for kids, they loved it and wanted more of a kind.... :)

For me, it was a wonderful experience and I could see the light on the faces of those children after those first time story listening session for those kids. In-fact such story time created a new skill of creativity among many children, they have even created their own stories instantly. Otherwise too, at my home I personally enjoy telling stories to my kids. On weekends they line up to me for a story time. An opportunity should be never missed out.

Well, this is the page, I am trying to dedicate to my story telling works, basically of my story podcasts mixed in English and Tamil Languages.

Objective :
Virtually story telling is a practical experience which has to be in front of the presence of listeners, sessions mixed with interactions, two way communication & participants participation. Where as the stories and podcast I am going to link here are just going to be my raw outputs and mostly unedited. which are actually meant to target the parents and youths, who in turn can make use of these stories and take it to the kids at home. Otherwise I too have objective to create podcasts which should be a live story sessions, professionaly edited, mixed with question techniques and include two way communication even on through podcasts and radio. I hope such kind of story tellings works are possible in due time of good planning and practice.

With this note, I suggest you to look out for events specialy at schools and kids events, because story telling to kids can make great impact on their creativity and feel the world. Targetting story telling sessions to children, youth & teachers in a group are my special interest. I would be more happy, if such a sessions are targeted for Human development, specially based on cultural and traditional morals centered on human ethics.
